I Love My BrotherAlthough I'm nearly 7 years older than my brother , I'm often mistaken for the younger sibling.
But I'm glad to be a sister who has a brother. Being the jealous type, I don't think I would fare well with a sister. My brother feels the same way. :)
When I had a full-time office job, I was able to help pay for his college materials, such as textbooks and school supplies. It was gratifying to help my brother's education, especially when he asked me for help or advice with an English paper or math assignment. In fact, spending evenings working on trigonometry with him was a lot like learning the subject all over again, and it was a positive experience for both of us.
I think my favorite thing about being an older sister is that we've become close. Through illnesses and shared hobbies, we've learned a lot about each other and our respective interests. Even though he's the quiet type, his moments of sweetness (such as making me a homemade birthday cake one year, making dinner when I was sick, and giving me advice) make me glad he's that way and let me know I'm loved. And we even still joke about the square root of 119. :D
