Word Of Advice For High School Students And College Freshmen!

WARNING. The number one danger involved in attending college is Debt! here are a few guidelines:
1.) Do not major in a field that has no demand
a.) If you must do not earn it at a ridiculously expensive school
2.) A famous name school does not guarantee a job, but it does guarantee higher tuition.
3.) There are less expensive schools with great reputations for excellence.
4.)DO NOT TAKE OUT PRIVATE LOANS
5.) If you need transportation then buy something that is used and reliable.
a.) There is never a reason to buy a new car when you are purchasing an education.
6.) Consider going to a community college and saving a boat load of money for the same education.
a.) Your diploma will still only show your 4-year university. No one will ever know.
7.) If you take out federal loans take out the minimum to pay for your tuition, books, and meal plan only.
a.) If you can get a part time job; pay monthly expenses from those earnings.
b.) Also If you can find used books then buy them from sites such as half.com or just google discount textbooks. However you must order these books early to get them in time for classes.
8.) During these 4 or 5 years it is perfectly acceptable to forgo hanging out or shopping every now and then to save money.
These years are the best time to learn about personal finance. I don't care what your major is You should take a course in personal finance. It is very informative and can help you for the rest of your Life!
