Will You Be The Next Silent Witness

A Silent Witness is a woman who has been killed due to domestic violence.  The Silent Witness organization presents life-sized red silhouettes of five women who died the previous year as a victim of domestic violence, and they are presented on the steps of our Capitol.  This in no way correctly represents the number of woman who have been killed.  It is only used as a symbol of the silent witness who takes her story to the grave.

My sister's red silhouette was retired to the battered womens shelter in her town.  I decided to bring the name to EP as a tribute to my sister.  Here, I am able to tell what I knew and what I experienced being the only one who was her confidant; things I never got to say in court, hence I feel compelled to also call myself a silent witness.

Were you abused by a romantic partner? Did you abuse a romantic partner? In many cases, I believe the parents help pick up the pieces in the aftermath.

I am conducting research to explore the help provided by parents when faced with their adult child's experience with domestic violence.

If you are interested, please encourage your parents to take a 20 minute survey at http://www.takesurveynow.2truth.com/

Im in a situation n he is promising to change hasnt hurt me in 2 months but i feel like i need to leave im not happy and he doesnt like me talking to anyone.

i think certain men ,, ought to be tied up to a tree for days for the animals to come and eat them alive .... some men think they have all the power ... but .. they dont !!! one day karma will hit these sob's and they will have there day .. maybe it will be with God and maybe it will be ..before they die , but one things for sure ,,, they WILL have their day ...

i also was in a abusive relationship, i was 15... im now 20-- due to i got pregnant at 17 with him, he is now forever in my life. nights i cant sleep and the anger still lives with in me. i feel as if i've never been heard or know anyone who turly understands.... i've aged pasted my years... i want to find joy in life again.

I just recently left an abusive relationship I didn't leave for myself my infant saved my life I loved him enough.

I left a very abusive relationship back in December of 2010... If it weren't for my precious little boys I might not be alive today. They are my strength... the reason I go on.
