I Am a Tall Girl
In 6th grade I was 5'7. Throughout school I was THE tallest girl... talk about unwanted attention.
I am now all grown up and my height is 5'11.
My drivers license says I'm 5'10. My husband is 5'10 and I didn't want to be "officially" taller than him.
I have gigantic feet and I don't wear heels.
I have to buy $200 ski pants because they're the only ones with a long enough inseam.
I get asked constantly if I ever: played volleyball, played basketball, ran track, thought about modeling. The answer to all of those is no.
Sitting in the backseat of a car is torture.
I end up slouching when I stand in lines at stores. If I were short I would have perfect posture!
So, there are a few advantages to being tall:
I never lose my friends when we go shopping since I can see everything and everyone.
I can reach anything!
People have the assumption that I'm athletic.
I got into bars with no problems before I was 21.
If I gain five pounds it's hard to notice.
I get to join groups and have discussions with other tall girls!
