Pregnant At 15, Had A Baby At 16

I had been with my boyfriend for 4 and a half years, he was 13 and i was 12, when i found out i was pregnant in the beginning of March i was terrified. I am a quad and my mum had me when she was 17 and she had always drilled in me the importance of having protected sex, if I wasn't waiting. But to tell the truth I wasn't really worried about contraception. So I wasn't surprised that I was pregnant just scared that I could be having a multiple pregnancy.

My boyfriend was very supportive and held my hand through all the rough times, especially telling my mum and my 5 brothers (who are all older than me). When our son was born just before I started sixth form at school, I was relieved as I didn't have to start a new year pregnant.

My son is now 3 months old and is so amazing. Every morning I wake up at 6 to get him ready on time to drop him off to the childminder so I wont be late for school. It was hard finishing year 11 pregnant as I was so scared of people judging me, luckily I didn't have a huge baby bump and people didn't notice until i was about 7 months pregnant but I always had the worry that people looked down on me. I passed all my GCSE's with 1a* 6A, 3B and a C. I finished school when I was pregnant to show an example to all the mom's to be that they can do it and I wanted to set an example for my son. When he grows up I want to say that he encouraged me to do super well and that he was my inspiration during my final year of secondary school.

Me and my boyfriend are still together raising our son in a good environment and will be teaching him the value of contraception. I'm planning to go to university and to help teenagers in situations similar to mine. Luckily my friends were very supportive and even though my family didn't like the idea of me being a mum at 16, they wouldn't take their grandson/nephew back for the world.
