You Can Dress Yourself In Another CrossHi to all of you who come upon this post....I want to share something with you all, that many of you might take as being controversial, but please give it some serious thought. It is only intended with anguish and love for you :) I have been on EP for almost four years I guess, and over the last 4-5 months have witnessed an EXPLOSION of youth coming out in posts revealing that thye are the wrong gender, or have desires to cloth themselves as the other gender, not to mention being in other groups that promote blurring the lines of sexual relations.....it's heart breaking to witness such young people in such struggles and stand by without offering a loving word you WON'T get from a society that encourages immorality.
What I am about to share is not a religion being pushed on you, but a story about how a relationship can change your very futures.
Friends, in an ever increasing world of tolerance and sexual issues being embraced, a truth of love is being extinguished. His name is Jesus Christ. You may have heard about Him....but more on Him in a moment.
What is happening today in our cultures is what the Bible shared, having occured in very ancient times amongst heathen nations, most notably in cities called Sodom and Gommorah, and in any city where God was not welcomed. These cities worshipped gods of their own making and if you do research you will find that through time, societies that were godless were steeped ALWAYS in sexual immorality.
But what is of more importance to all of us today in this generation is that as the end of this age nears, godlessness and sexual immorality will saturate not only our world, but even the church! And what is the battle cry of this immorality my friend? PRIDE. Pride goes before a fall every time, whether it be sexual immorality, murder, deception.....
Why do I bring this to your door today? To make you all feel bad? To offend you?
I bring this before you today because I want you to know that God DOES NOT make mistakes. If He made you a male, you are to be a male. Same goes for females....let me try and explain to you what is happening as one who spent years in immorality myself.....
You have what is called a fetish, not an identity crisis. You get turned on sexually to be wearing, or handling the other gender's clothing, especially undergarments.....but what a fetish does my friends is pervert sexual feelings which God gave you and I for our future spouses. The inherent danger of indulging in fetishes is that it doesn't stop with cross dressing, but tentacles into all sorts of other sexual immoralities that are a perversion of God's design. This fetish thing can be stopped at it's beginning, but if you allow it to flower by thinking on it and indulging, it will invariably control you, because WHAT YOU GIVE YOURSELF TO WILL ALWAYS CONTROL YOU.
Here is the problem.....we live in a culture now that encourages every kind of sin. It takes what is evil and calls it good, and what is good and calls it evil. What the world encourages is what God forbids because it's a perversion of God's design. And what sin does is that it draws unholy alliances with the world and condemns relationships with those who love and care about you to steer you away from the rocks ahead.
But more than anything, sin separates you from God.....see my friends, to get a picture of God we need to see His whole character....in today's culture, and in the church I'm afraid, He has been shown only to be loving and tolerant. According to the world's standard. God created everyone as they, therefore accepts each the same.
God is indeed loving....but He is also Holy and Just.....but wait a cotton picken' minute here!! Didn't God create us this way after all?
No, God did not create cross dressers, bisexuals, homosexuals, liars, murderers.....He created us in His image with the free will to choose Him or to choose our own way's, which is to say breaking all of His standards in pride. We have a sin nature, a tendency to give ourselves over to anything rebellious to God's nature....this is where the root of all immorality begins. When someone says that they were born this or that way, that they didn't choose a lifestyle what they are saying is that, while it's true, they may not be able to trace the roots back to the origin of certain sinful desires, they gave into them, and remember what I said above....WHAT YOU GIVE YOURSELF TO WILL ALWAYS CONTROL YOU.....this was a large part of my own life for many years at one time. I used to blame God for making me to have such desires....boy was I wrong and boy did He show me that!
So having established that, let's make a u-turn back to a Loving, Holy and Just God.....Because God is Holy and Just, He cannot have anything to do with sin....He must judge it wherever it is found.....so what is sin anyway?
Sin is transgressing God's laws, the Ten Commandments. You assuredly, like all of us, told lies, lusted after others sexually in your thoughts, taken something that didn't belong to you, probably even used God's name very inappropraitely....just to name a few. This makes you liars, adulterers at heart, thieves, and blasphemers, just looking at those Commandments! The Bible says that is appointed once a person to die and then the Judgement.
Remember God being Just??? Well friends, He will judge in righteousness. And if you are found guilty of breaking His laws you will be sentenced to Hell forever.....BUT wait another cotton picken second!!!! Isn't that offensive???
People who reject God outright that they may live life on the sinful edge are rightfully sentenced because by their own attitudes and behavior, they want nothing to do with Him....like someone who runs through red lights because they don't respect the law.
So what can be done about this issue then? Condemned in sins that our minds and bodies, and the world itself keeps encoraging us to live on embracing without restraint?? Maybe it would just be better to choose not to believe in God and be satisfied with the theory that nothing created everything with purpose and order so that you can indulge without conscience....it's what many do who seek to stay clear of the cross.....But not believing in something does not change reality...Try telling the judge who sentences you to the electrc chair that you don't believe in the existence of electric chairs and then turn around to walk out of the courtroom...what do you think is going to happen?
Here comes Jesus Christ, a friend to sinners. NOW we see God's other characteristic come into play....His MERCY. God the Judge determined in His heart that He loved us regardless of our rebellion against Him. He knew none of us sought Him. He would have been right to destroy us all for our rebellion.....but He did something that this world just cannot accept....He decided to exact perfect justice on Himself in the Person of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.
See friends, God became a man, fulfilled the laws we couldn't by living a perfect, sinless life, then voluntarily offered HImself up to being hung on a Roman executioner's cross where He bore the full train of God the Father's wrath on your sins....He stepped in and PAYED your sin fine in His life's blood. That means that you could be free to walk from God's courtroom, having your death sentenced satisfied by the blood of Christ and gain eternal life which starts at the moment you repent and put your trust in Him to be your Lord and Savior.
If you are all honest with yourselves in the quiet of your homes.....you will know that this obsession that brings you all here to this group already has a death grip on you.....I hope that you can see that NOTHING that brings private moments of doubt, shame, fear, deception and perversion comes from God. You were ALL fearfully and wonderfully created my friends. God loves you yes. God cannot abide with sin though. What Jesus did on the cross is freedom to live without sin, to have the yoke of this bondage broken off of you.
Remember this when the world tries to convince you of all of us hating, condemning, and intolerant christians spreading our disease (some do this unfortuanlety and I apologize to you all if you came across any like that), just remember this.
The cross is where God's wrath and justice for you met with His love and mercy for you....and the result was freedom from the wages of sin which is death here and eternal.....PLEASE take the time to consider this my friends....if any of you want to talk in private about this, please feel free to message me and I would be thrilled to talk with you :) Thank you for your time.
