I know exactly how I feel!!I always send pictures and messages.especially when I'm missing him it helps not only me but him too.I keep busy with friends and family.hope this helps.

I have just recently started dating someone who Is a truck driver what is y'all's advice to me he makes me so happy I just don't know what to do

Hello, my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years is a OTR truck driver. It's hard most days, but I carry on with my normal day and we talk to eachother as much as possible. My family thinks I am attached to my phone because he and I talk so much. Haha. I miss him like crazy when he is gone and we have had our ups and downs over the course of our relationship. But honestly as much as it sucks most days, I couldn't imagine my life without him. To me he is definately worth the wait. BTW he is gone for a month at a time and is only home 4-5 days. Keeping really busy is the best thing to do, I hate the days where work is slow. It makes everything seem to drag, so best advice is try not to think too much. :)

I am currently talking to a truck driver too he is an amazing guy though with out a doubt in the past 2 weeks ive seen him for maybe 30 mins but its all worth it when u see him && know ur the one hes looking at && wants to be with it makes that time well treasured <3 I wouldnt change it for anything in the world! My trucker is an amazing guy!

I just go with life as normal I go out with my friends go to school and work it makes the time go so much easier

I am the girlfriend of a OTR driver. We haven't been together long but I have been around drivers my whole life. Yes it is extremely hard and at times I do wonder if it would be easier with a 9-5er. But my driver feels the same every time he drives away. He tells me how hard it is for him also. We talk as much as possible. I type him emails, and write letters (which I just hand him when I see him) that helps the time go by for me. I also have family and friends who keep me occupied. When I am really missing him and the negative thought come about I go to a website atruckerswife.com and read the poetry. They also have a facebook page and reading that other woman are going through the same issues really helps. Your friends may not understand how you feel and how hard it really is. There are other woman out there that know exactly what your going through and talking to one another can help dramatically.

That a great question?I would love to hear the answer for a OTR wife who husband has been on the road for years. I'm in the same boat, My boyfriend has been on the road since May and this is no dough the hardest relationship I have even been it. I trust his 100% It's me i worry about.
