The Only Thing Stronger Than An Air Force Football Player Is His Girlfriend.

My boyfriend were on and off all through my four years of high school. We were the ones that everyone sees how in love we were with each other, but for some reason, left it at "friends". Finally, at the end of my senior year, we started dating. It has now been over a year since we have been together, and I still find a new reason to love him more everyday. Well, he knew he wanted to play college football (we talked about some places close by) but half way through football season, got a letter in the mail. It was a full ride to play football for Air Force..... 17 hours away from me.
Do not get me wrong, I could not be more proud! He is the most hard working person I have ever met and if anyone deserves it, it is him! But I am scared.... scared that we will grow apart. Scared that the distance is going to be the death of me. I know little to nothing about what he will be doing (other than be in prep school for a year and then four years in the academy after that). I do not know when I will be able to talk to him or see him.
I am in this relationship for the long run... It's going to hut. There is going to be plenty of lonely nights, tears shed, and time spent missing him, but at the end of the day he is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.

- If you are someone who has a loved one playing football for Air Force, add me. Knowing I'm not alone would REALLY help.

This made me tear up:') Thank you so much!

My fiance is just a regular old airman lol but I play a college sport and daaamn it's hard, it's like a full time job, ontop of school so props to him for being in the air force too!! but don't worry about the distance if you both want it to work, than it will! my fiancé and I have been long distance for over a year now..been through a lot! From the stress of a college sport, to him leaving for bmt and getting stationed 20 hrs away. Yes it gets lonely and yes it SUCKS not being able to see or talk to him when you want, but you both wil get through it! You both have to support eachother and communicate, that's the most important thing! Best of luck :]
