So, I'm about a week and a half out from BMT graduation and Travis is now at tech school at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX. He had his first day of classes today and found out that he's on A shift which means he'll be in training from 7:30AM to 4:30PM (16:30 for all you military girls!) which is really great news. It means he'll be able to call at night like we planned. :)

The first week of tech school was really rough. He was in briefings a lot and he couldn't have his phone on him because they required him to be in uniform (he still can't have his phone on him while in uniform but he's in his dorm a lot more now than when he first arrived). It's been an adjustment to say the least and not always a happy one at times, but I have faith that this is just going to be one of those things that is going to be strange and awkward at first but hopefully will have a happy ending. :P We can only hope!

Hope all you girls are hanging in there. I'm sorry I was gone for so long. I thought Facebook would be the better support forum, but it's not! EP is where it's at! :)

my boy has been at goodfellow for operations intelligence for about 2 months now. i visited him there two weeks ago, so if you have any questions feel free to ask! :)

I know what you mean about fb not being that great for this, I looked at alot of sites to try to get some support and information but almost all of them were drama or smack talk between the members but I am really liking ep :)

my man is at goodfellow for firefighting as well and he's been there about a month and the first week he called alot, well alot compared to bmt lol :) weekends are amazing and I love our skype dates!

Hiii! My name is erica, and my boyfriend graduated bmt june 4th and has been at goodfellow afb for firefighter school since june 6th. The first week is hard but just wanted to let you know it gets better! Weekends are the best so make sure you save free time for saturday and sunday because they'll have all the free time in the world those days. :) any questions just ask!
