Please Help!

So my boyfriend has been in basic for two weeks now. I got a phone call today and he told me that he had to go to Korea for a year. The TI's told him that the air force requires all active airmen to serve one year stationed in Korea. Does anyone know if that is true or if it is just a scare tactic the TI's use?

    OK that's what I thought. It must be a scare tactic because he doesn't even has a specific MOS yet. He is in the mechanical field right now.thanks so much that makes me feel 100 times better.

    It doesn't require them to all go to Korea, at least my boyfriend was never told that... They have to go to wherever the AF needs them. Maybe it's his specific job field? If every single Airman ever was required to go for a whole year, where they only need 6 or 7 of the same people, it would take forever, like I don't see how that would be possible lol.
