I love your post because it's SO important to know yourself and have your own identity apart from your Airman's. I was reading through the comments and it's true, no PDA in public haha. You can hug and get a quick kiss in when tapping out but that's it, on or off base. Enjoy graduation so much! I haven't experienced anything like it since.

Thank you! I'm really looking forward to it! I've heard it's a great experience so I feel very lucky and proud to be able to support my bf in this and go to such a unique event.

Nothing compares to that moment when you spot him running by with his squadron during the Airman's run. Honestly, I'll never forget it. It was a great weekend and I got to meet and hang out with a lot of his friends and enjoy Lackland as well as San Antonio. I'm excited for you lol.

I'm very excited! I've never been to Texas so that's an experience in itself lol Is there a dress code? I want to wear some nice summer dresses but I wasn't sure how strict they are with things and if my bf would be embarrassed by me wearing such girly attire lol I figured I ought to look fabulous since he hasn't seen me in awhile lol

There's no dress code =) Some girls dress up a lot and some are more casual. I've always been slightly bummed I didn't dress cuter than I did. Don't wear too uncomfortable of shoes though you might be walking a good amount! Also maybe a sweater for the morning it can get chilly, especially at 6am lol.

Thanks for the advice! I'll leave my stilettos at home lol Also...did you get your Airman a gift? My bf told me since I'll see him on Valentines day that I'm all the gift he needs, but I really want to get him something USAF related

I actually didn't. But once he got to tech school I got him a new phone so that kind of counts, right? lol. A lot of wives and girlfriends made cookies and baked goods for their Airmen and they loved it. Nothing beats home cooking after BMT. My guy was envious of them lol.

No problem! Heart shaped cookies are so cute! I made some last year and sent them to him. I found a cookie cutter kit that had like 8 different sizes of hearts so I sent him all different sizes, shades of pink and red and different sprinkles. It took some time but they turned out great. This reminds me I should get to thinking of some Valentines gifts for him or at least start planning to bake some stuff...

Haha my boyfriend already warned me of how sexy he looks in his dress blues! I don't know how I'm going to be able to resist the urge to give him a big kiss lol

My boyfriend did too! When we were talking on the phone he was like, "I don't mean to be crude but, I'm going to look sexy as hell in my dress blues." And they're going to be in even better shape then when they left! I think a big ol' kiss is going to be necessary. haha

That's the one thing I'm dreading...I'm a sack of potatoes and he's going to be a string bean lol My bf told me hugging is ok? What have you heard as far as any PDA?

I TOTALLY know how you feel! I'm going to be like "well.... I thought about exercising but you did more than enough for both of us" lol. From my extensive research, when you're tapping them out, hugging and kissing is okay. But I'm pretty sure once you leave those grounds, they have to stop with the pda. So, they allow some wiggle room.

I love that answer! He certainly did do enough exercise for the both of us lol And that's great! I'm glad we don't have to act like emotionless robots the whole time lol

Thanks! Me too, that would be awful if we did. But emotionless will be far from my response. I just know I'm going to start crying when I see him!

If a girl doesn't cry when she sees her man at his graduation there is clearly something wrong lol

Haha, amen to that! I'm going to have to invest in some water proof mascara before I head down there though!
