Scared But Hanging In There.

So my story may make me sound crazy, but here it goes...My name is Lizzie and I met my boyfriend online, and we clicked instantly. I knew when we started talking he was enrolled in the Airforce and would be leaving soon. We talked nonstop about everything, and I never felt so safe and secure in my whole life. We told each other everything and fell in love in no time. I knew I had to see him before he left, and boy was that a struggle considering we're only 18 and 19, and our parents didn't exactly understand at all. Greatfully I talked my mom into letting me go visit him after many tears and fights. I flew out to Chicago (i'm from NJ) for 4 days with a friend and it was the most amazing time of my life. I have no doubts about how much I love this guy, and how much he loves me, but I am terrified..I know it's going to be the hardest thing ever with him being gone, but I am so dedicated and ready for this. Terrified as I said, but ready. I don't really know what to expect, and i'd appreciate anyone who can just talk to me about anything they know..I need a friend right now, and like I mentioned.. anyone who can tell me ANYTHING about this <3

    I can relate I met my boyfriend online too we had an instant strong connection. we talked a month before he left for BCT in Fort Jackson he cane back for two weeks for christmas and new years. I only saw him 4 times now he is graduating in February. It is so hard but you are going to get through it. Be strong for the both of you because both of you are going to need each other. we have already been through a lot. but we talked. One thing i can say is TRUST and HONESTY always play a big role being so far away. I think to myself sometimes and try to put myself in his shoes. Be positive! Message me anytime!

    My fiancé, who I've been with for 4 years, got stationed in Japan 5 months ago. Military relationships are very different than civilian relationships. You will come second to the needs of the Air Force. As difficult as it is, if you really love your man, it is a very rewarding experience. I've been with my guy through the whole af experience. Bmt, tech, 1st station, all of it. Any questions, just ask.
