The Update...

Apparently I wasn't supposed to know that he was coming home.  He actually wanted to surprise me by coming home and showing up at my doorstep with flowers or chocolates or something.  He purposely didn't let me know that he was in the U.S. (he was actually in Maine, Idaho, and Denver before he came home... and I didn't know!) ... well, I accidentally found out that he was coming back because I was in the right place at the right time (or wrong place at the right time?) and well... I wasn't supposed to go to the airport last night.  AND... apparently someone else spilled the beans that I was at the airport, so HE knew that I was there and it wasn't a surprise anyway... LOL.  So in a sense, I was a little disappointed after finding out that he was going to surprise me, but I'm glad I found out, because I was able to see him sooner than expected.

So anyhow, he was wearing civilian clothes when he came through the airport and practically his entire squadron was there to meet up with the guys who came home... and he almost didn't see me when he walked through the doorway... so I stood there with this huge grin on my face and then he looks at me and he smiles, and I get my first hug... and I hold on to him for what seems like ages before we pull back and kiss.  Ohhh it was a magical feeling!! 

My poor boyfriend was exhausted though, so he wasn't very talkative, but it was wonderful seeing and holding him again. :)  We eventually packed up his bags into my car and I drove him back to his place and well... let's just say we didn't much sleep that night. hahaha... ;)

So anyhow... after we take a shower (don't worry, I'm sparing you the details lol) he gives me some ... not so great news.  It turns out he's been holding back and trying to figure out when to tell me that he got his orders filled to move bases.  If all of it gets approved and signed, he will be moving to Colorado... in 6 months. :(  That also means, that his chances of flying or travelling back to Oklahoma to see me are few and far-inbetween, unless he takes leave... and I'd have to be the one to go to him (which isn't all that bad, but it's still money out of my pocket that I won't have, unless I can manage to score my step-dad's free plane tickets lol). 

But, it was really nice to get to sleep next to him again, and it was a treat to go out for breakfast before he had to go in to work (YES... he had to go in to work!  What kind of b.s. is that?  They should have just given him a free day.  Plus it's FRIDAY for crying out loud! lol)... but he said he'll call me when he gets out.  I'm just a bit upset that he's got so much stuff to do and can't spend as much time with me as both he and I want... he also has to find out when he'll get to see his son again too... plus apply for a few days leave so he can help me drive home to California.  Ahh.. so much to do, so much to think about, and not enough "alone" time. *sigh*

Yet, I know I should be thankful that I got to see him, and that I should be able to spend at least a couple more months with him before he leaves again.  Just bummers that I spoiled a potentially awesome surprise... and I get news that he's leaving.  Oh well. :(
