Laying here alone tonight
I think of your arms around me
Pretending everything's alright.
No tears fall on my pillow
No worries fill my mind
I convince myself you're safe
But truthfully,I lie.
I wish that you could see me
Laying here alone in this bed
My prayers to keep you safe and sound
Replay constantly in my head.
You sacrifice so much for us
Yet I feel I suffer too
Your absence grows harder every day
But I still get the best of you.
I wear your dogtags daily
And imagine you there with me
Praying night & day
Wishing upon every star I see.
Come home safe to me my love

Days and months and even years
Are worth everything for you.
