Christmas In AfghanistanWell it looks like my fiance will be spending Christmas in Afghanistan after all. We were hoping his unit would be stateside by Christmas, which is also his golden birthday. This waiting game is so much harder over the holidays. I miss him so much it's hard to keep the tears back. I'm with my family and I'll be seeing his family tomorrow too. It helps that everyone is so supportive. I just wish I could fast forward a couple weeks until he's home. This year has been the most difficult and challenging year of my life. Not having him home has taken such a toll on me, especially when my grandpa died.
I hope everybody has a Merry Christmas, or Hannukah, or Kwanza, or whatever you celebrate. I hope it's all filled with love and joy.
