Okay, so my best friend's boyfriend just got transferred to work in in different state for 4 months and it wasn't bugging me at first, but now it is. He works regular 8 hour days and is able to text at work, just not call. WELL, she's constantly saying that she misses him so much and that she can't wait until he gets off work to call, not a big deal, but then she ALWAYS ends it with, "I'm not comparing it to your situation." If she's not comparing it then WHY does she always bring it up! But then when I need to vent, you can tell that she's listening but she seems bored..I love her to death, but I mean, my main form of communication is letters and I don't know when I'll get another one..Am i being selfish and just blowing this out of porportion or is this to seriously be concerned/upset about?? Help please!!

You aren't being selfish at all. I know exactly how you feel. I know that when I was first dating my boyfriend and he had just graduated from basic, that I would be upset that he would fall asleep on me when we were texting. But now I realize, I had so much more than I could have ever realized. Right now my boyfriend is deployed so I've only gotten 1 letter and 1 phone call which is absolutely amazing. Don't be too upset with your friend. I know it's unfair of her to say things like that to you, but some people just won't know what it's like to have minimal contact until it actually happens to them. So just take a breather. I know it's hard, but you'll make it. As for her not listening to you. That really stinks, but I'm here. Feel free to message me whenever you want and I'll get back to you the moment I get it. I hope this helps. Just know that I'll always be here for you :)
