Army Girlfriend To Army Wife...???
It has been a while since I've posted. Last time I did, my soldier was still home. Now, he is not but will be returning home soon and I can't wait to see him. We are both young (I'll be 23 next month and he'll be 20 in May) but he has written and told me that he is contemplating marriage. I told him I'd marry him, of course. I am in my last year of college, and hope to do my internship on his base (when we find out where he will be stationed). Things seem to be going well for us right now. I told my mother that he and I are thinking about getting married and se has already begun planning the big announcement to the family and reception for us. I wrote back to him to tell him all of that, and now I await a letter to let me know whether or not he still wants to get married or whether he now has cold feet. Lol. The dreaded "hurry up and wait". I'm so anxious to hear from him this weekend, and I pray that we have time to talk about our plans because writing letters about something so important is quite annoying and stressful. Anyhow, I am doing better than I thought I would at handling his absence. It's not easy, but I expected to be bald by now fom pulling out all of my hair. Luckily, I still have my hair. :-) He wants a daughter, but I'm not ready for children, so I got a little female yorkie and named her after him. I've had her since a week after he left and he doesn't know about her. I want her to be a surprise to him when he finally comes home. He's going to be so excited. I just know it. So, that's an update on life for my soldier and myself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he does still want to get married. I wish I could just call and talk to him, but patience is a virtue. *sigh*
Happy Holidays EP friends!
Be safe and be #ArmyStrong!
