Almost All Over!!!

Ok Girls.... I'm sorry I haven't been on in a few weeks!! I'll be honest... I've been wrapped up in myself. I'm learning the last stages of deployment. IT"S NUTS!!! I'm trying to get my list of "things to do before he gets home" and I'm not seeming to get anything done! It's like I'm a hamster on wheel these days. It's been a longass deployment.

He gave me a 430am call on V-day to tell me that Rear D is going to call and tell me what plane he's on. (I had a flat tire that day and didn't care one bit) Needless to say, I'm still waiting for that call (we all know how fast the Army moves---lol). So according to the base's website, I know when the homecoming ceremonies start. But don't know which day I'm kissing my soldier!

Just because he's coming home, doesn't mean that I'm going to stop visiting this website. And I'm not going to stop playing the "What If" game, killing those "what if monsters", with those that play with me. Who knows, he said if he can't find a job when he gets back, he's reinlisting. It will mean that he'll go back to the sandbox for the 4th time or take the offer of Japan or AUS for 6 years (me living on base with him). But we're crossing that bridge when we get there.

I just want to encourage you strong women (even when you question that strength) to stay strong, keep those chins up and KEEP VENTING! Always believe in him, his training, his strength, in your higher power (for me God), in yourself and the love/bond that you have with your man. Keep this website on your daily, keep living your life, get out of the house, remember to laugh and breathe, and take care --- you are the backbone!

I am so excited for you that he's almost here! And I absolutely sympathize with the range of things that go on during the end stages of deployment! But he'll be here soon, and you'll get to kiss him on whichever day they land!!
So I have a question for you... You've posted about the "what if game/monsters" a few different times and I would love to know more about it! I think it cold really help women trying to thrive through deployment, myself included! Thanks in advance! =)

Do keep us posted on the reunion. I'm living vicariously through those of you that get to have homecomings just as I'm letting mine leave me for a year.
