Hey ladies im hoping you all are doing fine while your men are away on deployments, missions, or special training. I just thoUght i would share some helpful advice with you ladies since i have been where you are and may be where you are again at some point in my life.

1. It's ok to cry!!! Sometimes after a good cry you feel way better and it's healthy also.

2.If you stay busy time will go by quite faster then if you stay non-busy

3. You WILL have bad days and weak moments but those days will pass and you will get through them.

4.Writing- a good way to express yourself and just get things off your mind

5. You have to stay strong and know just as you are missing him HE IS MISSING YOU!!!!

6. It's good to have a good support system around you- some people who understand what you are going through 'cause they are going through it as well (online support group or a small group of military g/f)

7. Write letters even if you think you are sending way too many it helps them know you care and miss them, and think of them

8. it's OK to have some "me" time

9. Schedule something to do at least once every week....it will make the time go by quicker!!!!

10.ALWAYS remember one day down is one day closer to the day you see your man again.

11. Don't be afraid to pray and read your bible..to some it gives a sense of comfort.

Just a little advice for you ladies for the week ahead, it may get hard and feel unbearable at times but you can do this ladies...YOU ARE ARMY STRONG!!!!

Guides: How To Know If You Are A United States Army Girlfriend

Members can share brief How To hints, tips and advice for each experience group. Check out some tips chosen randomly...
  • we have to go through a lot more to make our relaitionship work then most other girls so anything you feel like your alone with we have eithier been through, going through, or getting ready to go through so we know the pain and suffering or joy you have
  • No big plans alloud!!! The Army changes way too much!!! No watching the news at all!!! No one on ever said that it was going to be easy!!! It takes a special kind of people to go through it and come out whole, but if you can it is sooooo worth it!!!
  • PATIENCE AND TRUST!! I can not stress that enough. Know that the military is a 24/7. If he's busy or away it's not because he wants to be, it's because he has too. This is not a relationship for the weak/needy, you could spend ALOT of time apart.
