Here's My Story.. Erin And Kevin<3

Well first of all.. I've never been one good with long distance relationships. So I had always told myself I could never be strong enough to be in a relationship with a military man. I didn't see how those girls did it, how they kept themselves together while their boyfriends/husband was over there fighting. And then it all began.. I met Kevin online a few months after he got out of basic training. I knew from the start that he was going to be deployed to Afghanistan soon so I spent all the time with him I could and we both fell fast and hard. I knew from day one I loved him and no matter what I was going to be waiting for his return. I knew I didn't want anyone else but him. He has been in Afghanistan for a month now and I can honestly say it has been the hardest time of my life. I'm new to the whole thing so I don't have a clue how to react or what to do to be strong. All I know is I love him and I want to support him and the second I see his face it will be worth every bit of the heartache. I know I'm not the only girl that feels like no one knows what I'm going through and like I have no one to talk to that truely understands, so hopefully by joining here you can help me and I can help you!

you couldn't have said it any better! i feel the same way. i know its ruff, but yes, like ssgbesawsgirl said we gotta stay busy and treasure every letter and every phone call we get from our soldiers. hang in there girlie. feel free to message me if you need to talk! =]

Keep yourself busy, surround yourself with a group of women that go thru the same thing you are, and stay positive... Easier said then done, but it works... Don't sweat the small stuff, and everything else will fall into place... I promise you... Wendy
