I'm New To This...

Well, I met Austin almost 2 years ago. I was 16, he was 17, and we were working together. We hit it off the first night, and got eachother's nubmers. We found out we lived right down the street from eachother! And we went to the same school. We started spending literally every single day hanging out, and eventually started dating. Super early on, he told me he planned on joining the army because he really wanted to get through school. But then, neither of us realized how much of a big deal it would be. He signed up in July, and left in Novmeber for Basic at Fort Sill. :( It was really hard, but at least I just got to go see him graduate last week. He's at Fort Jackson now for AIT, then he'll come home. He's reserves right now, but he's doing ROTC for college, which means he'll have to go active right after college. I just heard about this, and I need someone who understand what its like to have the person you love the most gone all the time, and how to handle it.

Hi Emily thanks for commenting on my page. Yea my boyfriend signed up for the Army in November of 2009 . He had just turned 17. We are a year apart from each other. He is going to Fort Sill in July 2010 so I know how you feel. Alot of my friends and even family dont really understand what I/ We are Army Girlfriends are going through, everyone tells you that things will be okay and you know they will be but the time you have with him the time you have left is what doesnt make everything ok. If you ever need someone to talk to I am here :) . By the way I dont think I told you my name is Tatiana.

Thanks! Yeah, none of my friends really understand. They don't get it if I have a bad day, or why I'm not happy 100% of the time. Everyone is saying that I'm young and they don't understand why I would wait for so long. Thats so good that you get to see him during spring break!

Well, you are for sure at the right place girly! :D Everyone here COMPLETELY understands what you are going through and how hard it is to have the person you love gone all of the time! I have been with my boyfriend for almost three years. He left for basic in June and finished AIT last month. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see any of his graduations because of school. Fortunately, however, he completely understood and I almost think it is more important to him than it is to me that I finish school. lol. It's kinda funny. But anyways, I know how you feel. I have gotten to see my soldier only 2 days since he has left in June. :[ But, yay for me! He's flying me out to Ft. Polk during my spring break so I will get to spend a few days with him there! Woot woot! lol. If you need help with anything girly, or just someone to talk to, feel free to message me anytime! I'm a talkative person! And the girls on this site are WONDERFUL! They're always willing to help. :D Good luck!

Ah :/ Im sorry, that sucks. We want to get married so bad, but I'm only 18, and if we do, then my dad won't pay for anything, such as college. And we both decided that it would make things a lot easier to get some help from my dad for me through school, and wait a little bit longer, because we'll get married eventually :) Thats so cool that you're going to try to move to Germany with him!

I completely understand you, my husband is stationed in Germany 3 days after we got married he left :/ it sucked but he's been there for almost 3 months and were working on paper work to get me over there but it's taking foreverrrrr. The way I handle it is spend as much time as I can with my family without them getting on my nerves lol. I also try to surround myself with people that care about me, like my good friends and dog LOL. and I always say in the back of my mind that we'll see eachother again, sooner than later.
