Weird

A personal story in the experience: I Am a United States Army Wife
K so last night my husband comes home to tell me that his Commander came in to ask him if I was okay. He said that they are worried because they havent seen me very much lately. I am home alot Monday-Thursday yes, but I go to all his baseball games which are usually Wednesdays and Fridays. Then we go to the gym after he gets off work, and then Friday-Sunday we are usually are going to Dague to hang out. Like I am out a lot, I am just not down around his office now that I have settled in. So now everyone is worried. And because yesterday they had a food handling class and I didnt show cause i wasnt feeling good, and I was babysitting so I didnt go. I guess it like freaked everyone out cause I didnt go or something. So now I feel like I have to make myself seen more, which I think is stupid. Has this happened to anyone else?

I can't say it's happened to me because I haven't moved in with my husband yet, we've got a year long deployment coming up so I'm staying w/my parents.

But, you're right, that is weird. You know what. Honestly, I would not give it another thought. I think sometimes so many people get caught up in the Army wife stereotype and expect us all to be pregnant with tons of kids and attending every single function or meeting so we can "deal" with the Army life. And that's simply not true for a lot of us. I know it's not for me, and probably still won't be when I move on base.

That's prob. what his commander was asking about, was wondering that since you aren't participating in "wifey things," that there's something wrong. I think people in the Army, husbands and wives, forget that they were themselves before they entered the Army life. Not everything has to be about the Army. Gah! Haha.

Like I said, just let it roll off your shoulders and laugh at it. If you are happy, then roll with it. Do what you like, don't worry about making other people happy or do what they want you to do. If you and your husband are alright and happy, then that's all that matters.

Good luck dear, and message me anytime!

My husband's commandery guy said something about not telling me about something because it would stress me out... Because this commandery guy knows me apparently *sarcasm* . I don't even remember what the bit of information WAS but i do remember his commandery guy being all freaked about my reaction to it. I just talked to my husband and said that there is nothing that he should protect me from when i comes to information. we haven't had a problem since. :)
