A Little Bit Of Confusion

So wait, is it that being a virgin is bad or good? I would like share my opinion on it, if you don't mind.

It seems that those who are virgins (mainly boys) are made fun of for being so.
And those who are not (mainly girls) are also made fun of for being so.

Which is something I do not understand, if someone chooses to engage in sex, then why does it suddenly become someone else's problem? My mother often says "oh wow virgin are so rare these days" and I disagree completely.

In the media it seems that sex is "glorified" as my mom puts it, however saying glorified implies there is something wrong with it. Sex is an act of sexual desire, something all humans hold and I find it so funny society is so prudish when it comes to sex.

I mean terms like "losing my virginity" implies that something is lost. What are you losing? and calling sex "the deed" implies it's a bad thing. I was under the impression that sex was meant to be enjoyed between you ad your partner, as a bonding for you both.

I just wanna say that you shouldn't feel any pressure towards sex. If you choose to or not to engage in it then that's fine, if you chose to engage, don't be nervous of course. Make sure the proper steps are taken and nothing is regretted.

I guess the true meanings to sex and marriage are lost to the masses, I just wanted to get my opinion out there. Every one is entitled to their beliefs and this is mine.

I hope everyone is doing well :D If anyone has any questions on sex and what not, I'd be willing to help.

Very nicely said. I lost virginity at 23 to a young lady I was engaged to. I don't look down on virgins at all!

Thank you! It comforts me to know you think so :D I hope the experience was enjoyable!

Its neither.

I ultimately figured so, virginity is grey. Thank you for your input :D

No worries ha.
I also think the word glorified just means its portrayed differently to how it actually is, not that its bad or wrong.

That would make a lot of sense, but the way my mother means is in a negative sense.. the word for that escapes me lol
