volunteer a lot of hours to many different charities. I didn't realize how much I did volunteer my time until I recently won an award at work for my volunteer efforts in behalf of my employer. It seems that they keep track of the time we are working with the charities that they suggest we support. We sign up on a website saying that we will donate time to each of the organizations. Evidently these persons keep track of the hours we donate and report back to my company. I was surprised to learn that I had put just under 5000 hours into volunteering over the last 13 years. Additonally, I volunteer at my nieces and nephews school, a battered women's shelter as well as the thrift store, a crisis pregnancy center, an ******/sexual abuse shelter, breast cancer awareness, heart disease prevention, and alzheimers research.
