Not In The Books

Witchcraft is a beautiful thing. There are many things we can learn about it from books and other media, but the secrets of ancient wisdom cannot be found in a book.

Books are great. I have many of my own. Books on the Sabbats, books on Wicca and Paganism, Witta, Occult studies, Spirits and Godforms, Encyclopedias of Magick. But in all the books I've read I notice that it's truely hard to find books on true witchcraft. I'm sure everyone notices that. Not to downplay their worth or belittle their readers, but the books we read today on the subject are Wiccan. Wicca is a "reconstruction" created after witchcraft was no longer banned or punishable by death in england. This wasn't very long ago, and there are many things that have been omitted to make witches more acceptable in modern society. Even before the pursecutions began, witchcraft was mainly an oral tradition, and records that were kept were burned by their owners to keep from being found out. This means that what we know of witchcraft today could be, and possibly is, wrong. Some traditions have lasted out the storm. Others have been lost. It is this powerful information that keep some of us from our true potential.

What is it, you ask? I am not prepaired to share some things in such a forum to random folk. How do I learn it, you ask? Sacred knowledge is freely given to those who seek it. You only have to be true to self and heart. You only need to ask your guides and Gods. Where is this knowledge kept. Inside the minds of those who attain it, inside their sacred books, and inside the Akashic records. You can reach this knowledge through a close and personal relationship with Divine energy.

What can this knowledge do for me, you may be wondering? It can improve your spellwork and it's power, highten your senses to things unoticed before, give you a boost in your psionic training, and help you achieve higher states of conciousness.

Some will joke about this idea, and some will know in their hearts that there is more to offer than what they have found in books. It's the secrets you always expect to find when you buy a book, and finish it disappointed only to find that it sais the same thing the rest of them have. You know there is more, but where is it?

Most commercially available books are missing a few things. It is up to the individual to figure out the gaps through practice, meditation, dream work and a more experienced practitioner.

That's absolutely right. Thanks.
