Had To Hide My Aboriginal Heritage

When I was growing up my mother was forced by my father to hide our Aboriginal Heritage and it was a slow poison in their marriage that took a great toll on my mother, until finally she had the courage to tell  him where to go if he was so ashamed of his wife then  he could leave us all in peace.

I was so proud of her, and still am.

She is one strong woman and I admire her.
