I Am Afraid of Church

I Don't Know Why..

I don't know why I'm so afraid of church.  I'm not afraid of God or prayer.  Every time I have gone to a church I get freaked out and an overwhelming almost, scared/anxious feeling.  I remember going to a Sunday School class when I was real small, probably 5 or 6, and they had to call my mom to pick me up because I wouldn't stop screaming and crying.  Does anyone else out there have this problem??? I would like any input of what the possible issue could be....As long as it's not negative.

    Similar feeling, but I think mine comes from witnessing things at church that were scary for me as a kid. Now, most anything church related scares me... except I pray to God on my own and I feel extremely comfortable and I love praying. But Bibles make me nervous, going to church is a dreded thing for me, and I will not watch Christian tv. It makes me so nervous and anxious. I have no idea why... since I love my Christianity and I feel like God has helped me a lot through life. God has been really good to me, but I feel guilty for not going to church. I actually am scared, though. Truly scared.
