I am NOW more skeptical, when adding people to my circle. When I first came to EP, I would add people all willy-nilly, who asked me to. Not anymore. Because many of those people were not too great and they made it difficult for me to interact with those who are. :-/

I'll try to explain... it's like a have a small living room and I want to add some cool furniture in it. And the doorbell rings and I open the door... there is some new furniture waiting for me. They look cool and I bring them inside. But find out later that the outside doesn't match the inside. They're full of termites inside! :-o

And so, I have to scramble to get rid of them and pray like hell that their termites haven't effected the good furniture of the room! If this metaphor makes sense?

So, now, I finally got rid of the termite infested furniture in my circle. And I do have room for more cool furniture now. But I'm more careful, this time around! ;-)

Oh, I'm not trying to say that all of my friends are objects to sit on or pour stuff into! ROTFL! It was the best metaphor I could come up with, for now! Don't worry, I won't sit on anyone! XD

LOL nice story i know what you mean, i have to be more careful, I have to learn lots from this story, i add whoever adds me...what do you do before you add people to your circle if they request it? do you ask them questions? read their stories??? please, advise!!!

I totally get your metaphor, it's a good one. I don't blame you for being careful they're can be some bad people on here just like anywhere, and who wants that in their life.

you do what is best for you. I've always told my children that if you have a friend that always goes out of their way to make you feel bad then you need to get rid of them as a friend.
