Just Being Me

I came from a single parent home, living with my Mom.  My Dad didn't claim me and I'm distant to my other siblings that he had with other women.  My Mom told me to never hate him even though she did admit that he may not be my Dad.  What is that to say to a ten year old?  I am 38 now, have my own family and my fiance is the father of our child.  I wanted to be smarter than my Mom in that category.  Nowadays I just work and provide for my family.  I have been blessed with a good one.

    Amazing what we are able to bear .I had a mom and dad and there was so much domestic violence in my home the cops knew me and my brothers by name .

      I'd say that was terrible. And although I didn't have my dad around Mon didn't make it any better by drowning her problems in the bottle every night. She's 58 now and had been sober for about 7 or 8 years.

      Good for her both my parents died when I was young .My mom I suspect from alcoholism the same year one of her BF shot me
