No Thank You

What I am against?

Judging.

My belief system forbids it.

Abortion ?

No thank you.

My belief system forbids it for ME.

I do not presume to tell others what they should do.

The human condition is a dirt path full of pot holes and misery and each of us has to walk it by ourselves....

It's called compromise.......... funny that the parties haven't given it a try.

I think it better to reduce abortions that to have no progress at all"

Thank you for your comment ELFINSONG.

"It boils down to men not accepting there responsibilities to lead and when they do leading in wrong direction."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Interesting.
Where to start.
Short answer is men place so much emphasis on materialism and status: Women, naturally following this lead, along with their innate instincts, have historically taken it much farther it has seemed. It boils down to men not accepting there responsibilities to lead and when they do leading in wrong direction.
"To fully explain this would take a long while, and this is Peace's post."
This post is open to you SeekerOfTruth.
Take a long while if you wish...
This post is also open to anyone else who wishes to give their opinions.
Solarxmoon: Who says men have no responsibility?
We do, yet are too often taken to cleaners; if some less moral woman decides to punish a man for a real or imagined slight.
Look around. Who usually gets custody of children regardless of if she is a fit mother? To punish him she withhold his visitations. Court orders hardly ever punish her is she doesn't. Let one month of child support not be paid and He is hung out to dry.
There are immoral men and women.
As far as Rome history it was what it was. Women were more interested in social standing.
To fully explain this would take a long while, and this is Peace's post.
Suffice it to say there is immorality on both sides. It just seems money/materialism stands high in many peoples eyes.
why is it that the so-called "morality" of a society is often dependent solely upon what women do? When will men take any personal responsibility in this matter?
What is interesting about this discussion; Rome had a similar delima: To many women where trying to sleep up social ladder, not wanting to have children until they got social standing they wanted resulting in many abortions and use of primitive birth control forcing Rome, much too late, to pass laws regarding such, as their civilization was declining in population and morals. Was, as many historians believe, beginning of their down fall.
Has history repeated itself?
Well, I've said this before. Unfortunately, it's probably best for abortion to be legal. But it makes me sad and I don't like it when people act like it's no big deal.
"I'm sorry, POE, I was addressing Burro.
And to Burro: I just have a hard time justifying murder. Necessary murder? I can't wrap my head around that."
I understand Trapt.....
and your beliefs are sacred to me also.
great point, burro. they want women to not only give birth to the unwanted child, but to bear the burden of raising the child (often by herself) as well (and we all know that can take at least 18 years of the parents' life...)
pro-life isn't always about the "murder"- it's more often than not, also about taking away the woman's right to her life, whether they realize/admit it or not.
Abortion is a legal right.
"'It is your opinion that it isn't murder.'
Trapt?
I did not give this opinion....."
I'm sorry, POE, I was addressing Burro.
And to Burro: I just have a hard time justifying murder. Necessary murder? I can't wrap my head around that.
"thank you, peace, for sharing this story."
You sure are welcome godspeedyoukaren.
"It is your opinion that it isn't murder."
Trapt?
I did not give this opinion.....
It is your opinion that it isn't murder. Unfortunately, it's not cut and dry, and neither one of us can be 100% right, because it's just our opinions. That's also unfortunate because no matter what the law is, one side isn't going to be happy, so what the hell are you gonna do?
We must each seek our own, as each is responsible.
My belief system forbids me to murder. But I guess if others want to do it, it's none of my business.
"If men could get pregnant, we would never even be having this discussion."
So true, lilt, so very true...
Burro, because they don't know what to do with themselves.
"If men could get pregnant, we would never even be having this discussion."
heh
Those decisions are for the woman only.
Not some senator from Nebraska.
If men could get pregnant, we would never even be having this discussion.
Thank you for viewing my words BettyValentine...
"It almost reminds me of mavricky"
Mavricky?
I love it!
You invent this one ELFINSONG?
"The human condition is a dirt path full of pot holes and misery and each of us has to walk it by ourselves..."
Good description of something that is only too true."
Sad but true....
Woo solarxmoon!
Long time no see....
"My belief system forbids it for ME."
exactly. That's a decision that one must make for themselves. You can have all the reasons why you think it isn't right, but ultimately, you can only make that decision for you, and you only.
p.s. burro, I like your new word :)
(I just invented the word "judgy.)
WOO
Go you!
Is a cool word too.
