I Am Against Antidepressants

Only Coping, Never Curing.

I was on antidepressants for years.
Unfortunately for me I managed to always suffer most of the side effects from each drug that was prescribed to me. This had led to permanent damage to both my mind and body.
But not only that, they changed me as a person. I wasn't myself anymore, and I hated the person these drugs made me become.

Quite honestly I think psychiatry is a scam.
They are only giving people a way to 'cope' with their problems, but not actually cure their problems. All it does is give you a false sense of reality.
Alcoholics are looked down on for going to the bottle to 'cope' with their problems. Drug addicts are looked down on for shooting up everytime they need an escape. But anytime someone takes a few antidepressants it's not big deal, even though ultimately they are affecting you the same way drugs and alcohol do.

    I agree with you and it makes me sick how lazy and uncaring many of these doctors are. Medication has been a very sensitive subject for me as it seems like a lot of people, especially those who have no clue what these pills are like, bring up the subject in a very inconsiderate way that can make you feel embarrased and unsure of yourself.

    Try Holistic healing or Holistic pyschotherapy, the take most insurance, it's an alternative treatment for healing, they work with tools that help you cope and over come emotional and physical promblems without taking medication.



    Medication is not for everyone, and it is not the answer or a cure for everything. People need more than just a pill to make them feel better. The need the tools to empower them, learn coping skills and methods.
