It's Beyond Me

I am usually not that amazed by things I don't understand, but the Universe tops the list. My mind is much too minute to even begin to comprehend the complexity of it all.

"Only two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe." (Albert Einstein)

It takes A LOT of math to really understand much. Look at String Theory. Calculus is child's plat compared to it. Even Special Relativity [the easy one] bends the mind, and time and length.

Just looking at the stars with no math has kept humanity fascinated for as long as there were people!

You guys should cut yourself some slack. You could comprehend the universe.

You just don't understand the language used to describe it, that's all. It's like I used to tell my kids. There are only two kinds of "real magic" in the universe. Love and mathematics. Even to describe the simple motion of the planets moving across the sky, you have to use some basic calculus or at least some analytic geometry. I know. I know. Your eyes glaze over when you hear that but now at least now you are aware of what you don't know. Right?

And that is the first step in comprehending the whole damn enchilada!
