I
worked out hard to become muscular and good looking. Now that I'm over 40 I can see things starting to head south.
I didn't necessarily realize the power of good looks when I was single and younger, but I enjoyed it...things like getting pulled to the front of the line getting into clubs, having people buy you drinks, dating pretty much whoever you want...
Anyway, I know that's shallow, but it was fun. Of course now I'm re-evaluating all of that and having to find more reasons to have confidence in myself other than looks since those are rapidly saying 'bye bye.'
Although watching myself get older in the mirror sucks, I'd still rather deal with that than if I had never been good looking to begin with.
