Spouse of a Deployed Af Member

Hi I have been married to my spouse for 13 years, which means I've been married to the AF to.  We have moved all over and have 3 girls.  He is deployed to Iraq right now.  You would think after all of these years and deployements it would get easier, but it hasn't.  I would love to meet others going thru the same thing.

    My husband has been in the Air Force for 7 years and even with all of the deployments and all the moments notice missions, I am still not use to it. I find that I sleep horribly when he's gone and I always cry like it was the first time. I don't think there is a way for it to be easier, even with going through it so many times before. I think that because I love him so much that every time will always feel like the first time for me. Keep your chin up, that's all we can do.

    My husband is considering joining the airforce. What do they have to do when they are deployed??
