Living In Germany

My husband (who is an Air Force Firefighter) and I are based at Ramstein AB in Germany. We arrived here on February 26th, 2008. We are renting a house out in the country, 20 minutes from the base. We are getting used to the whole living in Germany thing. I am trying to learn as much German as I can. I have a job at the School Age Before/After school program on Vogelweh (another AFB in the area). I still have to finish my paperwork and stuph for it before I can start.

We just got all our furniture on April 1st. the house is still full of boxes, so we need to really get on the ball with unpacking and organizing our home.

We are living here for 4 years, and I hope to go back to the States after this adventure in Germany.

My husband and i are at RAF Lakenheath in the UK. We have been here for a year now and it's okay, It's fun being in Europe and being able to travel everywhere. Good luck in Germany, I think you are going to like it!

My fiance just got orders to Spangdahlem for August of this year.We have our wedding scheduled for July, but it seems like we will be changing that plan so I can be added to his orders. I am so excited and nervous! I have been "googling" everything possible about Germany. I have only lived in the same city my whole life, so this is definitely going to be a new experience for me. I would love to hear any advice on what to expect living in Germany!
