Tax reform is easy to talk about. The rich and big business stash money in places like the Cayman Islands and the Isle of Man precisely to dodge the tax collector. Their lobbyists wrote the tax law. I really wouldn't trust them to "reform" taxes. This taxation issue is one reason the US government is so short on funds. There is no spending problem here. The problem is lack of revenue to pay for things like roads and schools.

As everyone should pay their fair share, I was surprised that the companies on the list were paying about 6.5%. That is way more than I thought. I think it is unfair to lump individuals with corporations. I pay around 20%. Not good but then again I don't have to pay half of my SS tax. I also don't have to pay insurance and overhead on a building, employee's etc. If a Corporation is following the tax laws, and is gainfully employing thousands of workers, I don't have a big beef about them paying a low amount of taxes. However, Congress does need to address the loss carry over stuff. We should all be proud to support out great country,
    Corporations included.

EVERYONE should have to pay their fair share and not be able to buy their crooked butts out from under it while the rest of us pay dearly..... Big corps. are at the root of a LOT of our issues... How they operate and what they are allowed to do and when and where they do it all need to be examined...Like if they're gonna farm all the work out overseas then they ought to be taxed to the max to bring it back and sell it over here... I have HUGE problems with all of this about now...

I think they should pay the same rate or higher than we do, minus deductions their rate should still be comparible to ours.
And we should discuss how to slow down the current regimes runaway spending
      history.

I won't get too much into the current regime other than to say this. If the country is in financial trouble, why the hell are they traveling like money is no issue. Were broke! Act like it! The the freaking train! Not Airforce one! It was not set up for "family vacations" . I have had only two vacations in 6 yrs. Why? because I can't afford it!
