It's Not What You Lose.....

Hello out there! I lost most of my right leg 25 years ago after a bad infection after simple knee surgery. I was 15 at the time and thought my world had ended. Life continued to drag me along and after a while I thought I better go along for the ride. I am now happily married (13 years) and have 2 beautiful children.

i got my leg amputed 2 months ago........<br />
u hav really increased my moral

I am an amputee as of November 13th 2009, so it has yet to be one year yet but I feel like life is just pulling me along. I used to love going to the gym, running, being pretty active but since Im fairly new with my prosthesis I feel like its too much work to learn how to run again. I know I just need to get out of my rut, but it's hard. I work 40 hours a week and by the time I come home I'm exhausted. I see you've had children after your amputation, was that hard (getting up in the middle of the night, etc?) I sleep with out my prosthetic and have always wanted children but now I feel like it'll be too hard, I wont be able to run to their room in an emergency etc. Maybe I'm crazy, its likely ;) Just want to know if you have any advice. Thanks.
