I Looked Down And My Arm Was Gone

I was in a freak bus accident where the bus driver fell asleep at the wheel. I had my arm against the window cause I was resting. Then I heard a loud bang and the bus had tipped over. I felt something funny in my right arm that I couldn't make out at that point. When I reached over and felt a lot of blood and no arm I knew I was in trouble. I asked my friend to wrap something around it. I blacked out, and I woke up in a hospital. I realized my arm was gone. They found it a few hours later. They are still not sure exactly how it got ripped off. My family and friends were horrified by what had happened to me. Now, I have gotten used to it. I never wear a prosthetic so I can be open about it. I also model. Trying to show that just because you're not perfect, doesn't mean you can't follow your dreams. :)

Wow. Truly inspiring. I've lost my right leg (below the knee) and I think it's harder to lose an arm ;(. It's amazing how you're taking this very well. Take care (and stupid bus driver LOL).
