Btk Amputation Unsuccessful-anyone Else Had This. Please Talk To Me Now

Please talk to me NOW - btk amputation unsuccessful - NO blood circulation in leg - Dh is in hospital - infection and terrible pain - can we expect gangrene? what is his future? Also poor blood circulation in other leg. This is our end.
Please no sympathy words - I am in shock - was sleeping for ½hr when Dh phone to give the bad news - is working in house now - till I drop - can never go back to sleep now. I am tired - surgery was on the 8/6/2012 - for the last 15days he is back in hospital with infection in stump. I WANT FACTS.

    thanks for your reply, amputeemummi. Dr phoned me last night - he is giving the wound one week - next week wednesday. There is not a drop of blood in that lower leg! If the wound starts going black, dr will amputate above the knee. Dh (amputee) is in terrible pain!

    A friend I was in hospital with ended up with an infection in his stump, the surgeon set a fax system to drain away the infection and use negative preside to aide in granulation and healing of the surrounding tissue. He is only now just starting to start shaping as he had to wait for the incision for.the vac to heal but he is now on his way to getting his prosthetic. I hope this has helped some what.
