My Beliefs (part 3) But When Is He Gonna Get To The Angels?

The argument goes back and forth about whether or not angels are physical or spiritual, whether they are just messengers, warriors, protectors, etc.
But what are they really?
What are angels? You have to decide for yourself. Some believe that they are beings of the purely spiritual. Some believe that they can take on physical form. Some believe that they are anyone that acts as a messenger of the Father.
In ancient times, and to some extent even today, it was believed that it would be dangerous or even undignified to have the Father make direct contact with human beings. So instead he would send an intermediary. This in and of it self would seem to rule out the last theory on angels, that even a man can be an angel as long as he is acting as a messenger of the Father.
For if this was true, why wouldn't the Father simply go directly to the human that he was wanting to get the message to in the first place?
I do not believe that the Father is that shy that he cannot ask or tell someone to do something without looking a person in the eye.
This would also go against the teachings that you find in many of the old texts where the Creator had direct contact with the early humans. Not just sending someone to talk to them, but actually walking among then as He did in the Garden of Eden.
But that's another conversation, lets get back to angels.
Some would place them on the same spiritual and moral level as the Father, but there are numerous examples of them coming down to our level.
Perhaps the most famous of these is the story of Lucifer, Satan, Azazel
In the Hebrew Bible in Genesis, angels first appear as divine beings, acting as messengers of the Father. But the word angel is a mistranslation. In Hebrew the word for angel is pronounced mallach, but the correct translation is simply messenger. In Greek the word Angelos is not messenger but simply intermediary, or a middle man.
Angels are not of this world. They are not of this planet.
According to the Books of Enoch the first angels to arrive on Earth were the Fallen that were cast down after the rebellion in Heaven. They fell to earth on Mt Hermon, in the Anti-Lebanon mountain range.
But they were the only ones. Later the Father would send his own angels down, and they would land on the same mountain, Mt Hermon. What was it that was so important about the one mountain. Why was it so convenient for angel to descend at the one particular point? Is this the closest point of entry form our world into theirs. From the realm of the spiritual into the one of the physical?
ENOCH 6:1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto 2 them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men 3 and beget us children.' And Semyaza, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will not 4 indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.' And they all answered him and said: 'Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations 5 not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.' Then swear they all together and bound themselves 6 by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon
Later,Both in the Book of Enoch and in the Bible, Angels that were called the "Watchers" Also known as the Grigori, would act in direct opposition to the Fathers will in mating with the human women.
Genesis 6
1 When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans forever, for they are mortal[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
The offspring were called the Nephilim or Anakim. This is not my invention, this is what is written in the book of Enoch.
The Nephilim were a race of giants and monsters, similar to what is protrayed in the story of David and Goliath, Greek and Norse Myth, and other stories from the world round. But there are theories that the use of the word giant is a mistake. That it didn't refer to their stature, but rather the superhuman abilities that they had.
And for those of you that think this is just some Jewish or Christian folklore, I would point to the story of Harut and Marut.
Now these angels are mentioned a couple of times in Islamic traditions. The first one Is an actually verse from the Qu'ran in the second Surah, or chapter, of the Qur'an, entitled "Al-Baqara" or "the Heifer" It appears in the 102nd verse, and forms part of a narrative concerning the people who followed sorcery.
Surah 2:102: They followed what the evil ones gave out against the power of Solomon: the blasphemers were, not Solomon, but the evil ones, teaching men magic, and such things as came down at Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone without saying: "we are only for trial: so do not blaspheme". They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife.
So just like the angels in the Book of Enoch, Harut and Marut are teaching men forbidden knowledge. and there is another legend about these two that shares a little something with the Enochian tales. Another legend states this:
The angels (who, in Islamic theology, do not possess free will and cannot sin) had become astonished at the acts of disobedience committed by the human beings on earth. They began to curse the humans, and could not understand how they could be so sinful. Allah informed the angels that they would have also sinned if they were in the position of human beings.
So the angels elected Harut and Marut from amongst themselves and God gave them human attributes and sent them to earth after commanding them to avoid wine, idolatry, fornication and murder. Harut and Marut eventually succumbed to their human lusts and fell into all of these sins. Consequently, God punished them for their transgressions.
So now we have two different references from two separate sources of angels having sex with humans and teaching them forbidden knowledge.
But yet we still have people that think that angels are purely spiritual beings.
What do I believe?
I think that to a degree they are both right.
Angels, if you actually study them come in all shapes, sizes, colors, forms, there are winged ones, ones made of fire, ones that appear as serpents or wheels. The word angel is nothing more than a classification. And from the reading I have done it is a classification set forth for many different kinds of beings.
Lets wrap our mind around that a bit and we will pick up again later
