Something About The Queen's English..

I just love how they speak, with perhaps the exception of the Cockney Eastenders....although, I didn't mind Julie Walter's character in "Educating Rita". The Irish and Scottish, however, are my favourite.

I may be wrong, but I thought Julie Walters' character was a Scouse house-mouse? B-)we have a shed load of accents and dialects to marvel at in England alone. And the Welsh & Scots have some variations all their own. Some subtle, some less so.

What about the WELSH accent..?

Here, here ABL. Well..aren't you all the fortunate ones! Your accents are totally enchanting. The head of our office is Irish and he totally fascinates me when he speaks (no, I don't have a romantic infatuation - I hear you ask). I'm only just now focusing on WHAT he says...crazy as it sounds..I used to be a silo in my department but synergy is now required so I have to start paying attention to what is happening at large. Now, lovely people...any recommendations for when I visit your homes? I don't want the tourist places...just a great old pub or something. Cheers.

That was a nice wee compliment their Li thank you .....

I am welsh/english, lived all over the UK and gathered quite an accent. It is nice to hear that people love my peoples accent. I now live in America and am fascinated by how much my accent has an effect on people around me<br />
