ROCKET Attack

OK LADIES HELP!!!!!

I was chatting with my husband this morning on Yahoo IM.

Out of nowhere, we got cut off, which normally isn't nothing new....the net in Afghanistan absolutley sucks! I will wait anywhere between 5 minutes to 5 hours before it comes back up.

WELLLLLL, about 15-20 minutes later he got back online BUT only for a minute..... He told me that we lost contact because of some kind of rocket attack, he had to go, but NOT TO WORRY, HE'S OK. and signed off just as fast as the last time!

OMG Ladies, I am at work LOOSING MY MIND! He NEVER did get back on before I left for work {{he usually does to tell me to have a good night at work and he loves me}}

ALL I CAN DO IS THINK ABOUT HIM AND HIS SAFTEY RIGHT NOW!!! HOW AM I GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH THIS SHIFT? HOW AM I GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT?

So many thoughts are going through my head right now, and time is not moving fast enough......I won't hear from him now till tomorrow with the way he works out there, I am soooo worried that I won't!

HELP!!!

I AM HERE FOR YA'LL TOO! ANYTIME! THANK YOU!

I agree 100% with eleven11. Try not to show how much it scared you to get that information. Be strong and supportive. You know i'm always here to listen. I'm praying for you and him. God Bless.

omg i am praying for you have you heard anything yet

Oh sweetheart! I know this has to be so terrible! It is terrifying to know how much danger there is going on around them all the time.

My soldier refuses to wake me up in the middle of the night, even if I ask him to call. The one and only time he did call at 3am it was because the unit/base/idk right next to him was hit with grenades! He could only stay on the phone for like 5 minutes, and I was so dead to the world asleep it took until we were almost hanging up to understand what he was saying. He told me he was ok, but one of his best friends was over there and they didn't know if anyone had been hit yet. His communication was just so chaotic that I didn't know if it was still an ongoing attack, or already over, or WHAT?!?!

Please believe I stayed up all night and for most of the next two days waiting to hear from him again! All I could do was pray. Luckily I was home at my parents for Christmas at the time and so they were understanding of how scared and upset I was. But all you can do is pray and just keep taking each step forward. He called me two days later, and everything was back to normal...and then you're just trying not to show them exactly how much of a blubbering mess you've been since you heard from him last. They're going to keep facing these things, and we just have to try our best to maintain our strength throughout it. I know it's ridiculously impossible to try to be okay, but try we must!

Keep your head up! Message me if you need to!
