Just Married

I am 20 yrs old and just married a soldier Feb. 5th. I was enrolled in college in my hometown, but now I am picking up my life to move to Fort Sill. We found out that he is to be deployed at the end of the year, so I knew I had to go be with him. Our plans were different before, and I am nervous now that they have changed. It is so much to take in at once. I love him and we will make it through like everyone else I am sure. I mean it is normal to be scared, right? Moving from everything familiar, then having my husband leave so soon...

Still enroll in college, do everything you had planned it will just be in a different place. Keep your head up

This is a great outlet for fears and celebrations! Congrats on marrying your hero and enjoy everyday you spend together before he leaves. I couldn't have gotten through my husband's deployment without the support of the women on this site. Hang in there and be strong on the outside for him and what being an army wife stands for, and feel free to let it all out here-I think we all have at one time or another.

Yeah, this is all very new to me. I knew there had to be something on the net where I could talk with people, and I found it. I am happy to have found this particular site actually. I mean I have a facebook and myspace but it is not the same as having so many people sharing the same issues to talk to. I am proud to be an Army wife by all means. I am very proud of what he does, and like knowing that I kind of contribute in my own way. I know that if nothing else I keep him going everyday. I will keep it all updated when I get to Fort Sill.

It would be weird if you weren't scared for your first PCS. Just try to keep some perspective in your life and realize that this is all very honorable work you both are doing.
