Falling In Love With a Soldier Before He Left.

   It was the summer of 2008, I just got out of a long horrible relationship and I was hanging out with my friends alot. One Night in July my friends forced me to go out with them to this guys party. I really didn't want to go so I threw on some jeans and a t-shirt that said "My Brother is a Marine."

I wasn't expecting to see any boy that I thought would catch my eye. But with in ten minutes of being at the party this guy walked up to me and said "So your brother is in the Marines?" I took it as being sarcastic so I said back to him "Yea, So What!"
I thought that he would walk away but he immediately smiled and started talking to me about the military. He explained how he is in the Army and he's a Black Hawk Engineer.
The whole time that he talked to me I was observing his face. I remember thinking to myself how flawless he was. He was tall, tan, dark hair, soft dark eyes, perfect lips, and a sexy baby face.
I held myself back from completely acting like a flirt. I stayed in the "friend zone"
That same night there were 3 other girls that were trying to hang all over him. I am the quiet type of girl so I kept my distance but I would catch him glancing at me from the other side of the room. Very late that night, we all went swimming and while we were in the pool he came up to me and grabbed my waist to throw me in but instead he pulled me close to him. My heart raced so fast, I got really nervous and I ran away like I was in middle school all over again. So I grabbed my clothes and I drove home. At that time it was 4:30am. I woke up for class at 8:45am and I seen a text message saying good morning Beautiful. I couldn't believe that he got my number from someone or that he even tried to get ahold of me.
That Summer Aaron & I spent every other day together. We would sit on top of my roof at my apartment and talk for hours. He took me out and taught me how to open up feelings to him. Our first kiss was not like any other. It felt so right to kiss him. We cuddled for hours, he ran his fingers through my hair to put me to sleep, and when we were together we always held hands. I fell completely in love with him and I was so afraid to tell him.

One night while we were laying in bed kissing, He told me that he had something to tell me. And I blurted out that i was falling in love with him. He replied "I am in love with you."
I was so happy but then he told me that he was getting deployed to Iraq in 4 months. My heart was pounding and my mind was confused. I couldn't believe that I fell in love with this perfect guy and he was leaving me.
I didn't know how to react or what to say so we didn't really talk about it.

One month later we were walking by the lake and he purposed to me on the bridge.
Of course I said YES! and then time passed with the dreading moment of him leaving.
When the day came i felt like he was taking away my heart. I would of done anything to keep him with me at home and safe. But I know that he is leaving to defend our country and protect his home. 

Aaron is still gone. He comes home on leave for two weeks in July and we are getting married. His deployment is over Jan. 2010.

My Brother Vinnie has been deployed to Afghan. and will return 2011
My other brother Antonio has just finish with his Army training and was stationed in Oklahoma.
