I Heard From Him!

Okay everybody, I just had to share the good news. Anthony called today and is just fine. I was worrying for no reason. He was out on patrols like I knew and then before that he was going to call me but there was the blackout. He is fine and was even laughing on the phone. We got to talk for almost an hour! Thats the longest yet. He was recognized by his platoon sergeant for his hard work saying that Anthony was working above and beyond the call of duty. He was given a free phone card and a goodie bag! I'm so proud of him. and I'm so happy that I finally got to hear from him. Maybe I will be able to sleep tonight!

    I hear ya. Everytime i dont hear from john i worry constantly. He used to call me at least 1 or 2 a day but since he went back from R&R he hardly calls but writes emails as much as he can. I wish u lived closer!!!

    Yay!!!! I have to say that the one good thing about deployments is that we no longer take for granted any of the little things. A 45 minute phone conversation is valued more than any diamond or other material possession. Letters are treated tenderly and read over and over again.



    Hearing their voice is really not equaled by anything but having them back in your arms, is it? I'm so happy for you.

    I am so happy you got to hear your man's voice and talked to him for more than an hour. God Bless you both. You must be really proud of him and he must be really proud to have a wife that cares so much.

    I am so happy that you got to hear from your honey! I know how frightful/worrisome/whatever it is when I don't hear from mine after a few days! Plus, Kudos for hubby for the phone card and goodie bag! How cool is that!
