Hi, My husband and I were dating for 2 and 1/2 years before we got married on this past September 8. I am 20 and he is 19. we were both in high school when we started dating so he obviously wasnt in the army. We have been doing long distance for 10 months now. I am finishing school in California (hes is Georgia) then moving with him. We are having a huge wedding in July 2011 so I have to wait another year and a half to move with him. He is getting deployed in November and I just feel so overwhelmed. As busy as I am, i am so lonely and depressed without him. We used to spend everyday together and I can help but feel so upset. Is it because I am so young? Im just drained. How do I help cope with this. I also lost my little 10 yr old sister in May to brain cancer. so I just feel I am losing everything and that I have no control of anything.

I am not dealing with his absence very well either. It is really hard when we moved to a new area where I dont know anyone and hes gone for pre deployment training and off to afghanistan afterwards. I am not looking forward to it. He is in the infantry. We have been together since sophmore in highschool and now I am a sophmore in college. We are happily engaged and planned on getting married but he wasnt expecting leaving so soon

My fiance is also being deployed next week on a 12 month contract, we have been together for 7 years and I guess it does get easier in time, the hardest is saying goodbye and waiting for the first peice of contact.....

Well it does get easier as time goes on. I found it helpful to write down all the things I wanted to accomplish before the date he got back, then I went to work on completing things one by one. My husband to be left last July, he will be back in 3 months. Keep busy write to him and pray for him. It will get easier; and remember with every passing day, it brings him one day closer to coming home. Hope it helps.

Oh man, I know how hard that is, having your husband gone for 15 months and being pregnant....do you have someone to be with you when the baby is born? My husband has been gone a month today, and THANK GOD I am not pregnant this time. You will find that the time goes by faster when you have a little one to look after...we have four, so honestly, I think the time is moving quicker this time than last. Just take care of yourself and that little bitsy baby when he or she gets here! I hope you have someone to help you when it's time to have the baby!!!! Write if you need anything...even just baby advice!

Hello - I married my husband after knowing 6months, we only got married 6weeks after he proposed so ours was quick too. My husband is out in Afghan right now and I'm missing him loads. We only been married a year and 4months and two weeks after we married he was in Cyprus for 3months which was hard. I'm finding it easier this time round :)

    Nice to meet you :)

Hi, welcome to the board. My husband left over a month ago and he is gone for the 15 month tour as well. It seems like a long time. I bet you can't wait on the little one to get here.
