New to This

Hey everyone. Just wanted to write my story. I searched for a website where there were more Army wives that had deployed husbands and this is where I've ended up.
My husband is just getting back into the Army National Guard. He was in almost 10 years ago and now has re-signed up. He is being sworn in Friday and will find out more about deployment next Wednesday. The word is that he'll be deploying in January.
We just got married in August but have known each other for more that 12 years. We work together for a residential builder, but as everyone knows, the housing market sucks. So, that is why he "re-uped" with the Nationa Guard to make extra money.
I'm happy to have you guys out there to talk with every once in awhile to share experiences and know I'm not alone in this adventure.

Well thats cool your hubby is trying to make a better life... what job does he do and how long do they think he'll be deployed?

He's a forward observer and they think they'll be gone for a total of 1 year. But, we'll see. We all know how the military is... He'll find out more details next Wednesday when he reports to his unit. He get's sworn in today at 1000. :{ I'm nervous, I must say.

my husband is a 13 fox. i think your husband has the same job as mine. anthony left in september and will be gone for 15 months. welcome to the board. the girls on here are great.
