Today I Became a Male Figure Model!!!!

I set as a goal to become a figure model. Today I accomplished this goal. I modeled for a local art guild. There were 2 women and 8 male artists drawing during the 2 hour session. The session consisted of 20 minutes of short gesture poses, two 20 minute poses and one 25 minute pose. I can't begin to tell you how nervous I was. I had practiced various poses and the length at which I could hold them. Well once the robe came off it was simply down to business. No erections. no not being able to hold perfectly still for all poses, it was a good day. The drawings that the artists generated were simply fantastic. I loved it!!! Talk about a boost to your ego.

Tomorrow I model for a local university, and Tuesday for a local gallery.

Let me join the chorus congratulating you, Dave. How incredibly exciting. As I noted in my old posts from last year's boudoir shoot, during research for how to approach that I got interested in this field, so reading your experience is especially valuable. Interesting how your nervousness disappeared, and you focused so well on your poses. The Art Model's Handbook notes holding a pose for a long time can be very difficult, but you did fine. Very encouraging, and exciting to experience that session vicariously through you. The epitome of what EP is all about.

Megakudos! By now you're a pro. Let us know how your career is going. The newcomers (of all ages) to life modeling need the inspiration and encouragement.

Peace and blessings!

That's very inspiring im 46 feeling very comfortable in my skin after big weight loss 50 pounds in 3 months looking to break in to filed, i have no experience though

Go you! I love modeling for artists; especially nude. It is very freeing and soooooo creative...I swear I get inspired just being in the studio setting...my poses seem to soak up the energy...it's transforming, really. Keep at it...awesome!

The first time I modeled, I was extremely nervous, but once I was nude I got used to it quickly. I was never nervous again. It's amazing how freeing it is to give up your inhibitions.

Congratulations, good luck for your career.

Congratulations. I am so glad it went well, not that I had any doubts. It was one of the most liberating experiences I have ever had.

Well done! You're a lot braver than I am. I thought amateur theatre was confronting enough. I never had to ***** off for it (for which the audience was no doubt grateful).
