Ugh, Sexism.

After doing my cardio and weights, I go to the pool. The locker room is always interesting. Recently I witnessed this: Swimming lessons had just ended, so the moms were in the dressing rooms with their kids. Lady 1 was there with her daughter, and evidently her son was in the boys dressing room. Lady 2 was there with her 3 daughters. Lady 1: What level is she at now? Lady 2: Level 8 Lady 1: Wow that's high! My son is at 6. Lady 2: That's very good! Lady 1: Do you have only daughters? Lady 2: I have 3 kids, all daughters. Lady 1: Oh, that's too bad! What? Then Lady 2 just kind of looked like she felt pretty awkward. Luckily one of her unfortunate 3 daughters came over and asked for help strapping something up and broke the awkward moment. CLEARLY it is just AWFUL to have no sons /sarcasm.

Hi, CV -- As much as we need to keep the pressure on for things to improve, we're making progress. Back in The American Century, women were suing in Baltimore to allow women to serve on juries.

The judge ruled against them, saying that women need to be at home, because "someone needs to cook the dinners". And the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and Princeton are women.

I pity that women with her too-bad comment. Girls are no worse than boys. ANd to be fair my brother and I have given both our parents hell so having boys isn't exactly a blessing.

I doubt it, not that many people seem to come up with such things on the spur of the moment. Nice idea though. I'll bet she wasn't being sexist either, however. She probably just likes a variety. That's how I feel also. I'd be disappointed if I had 3 daughters in a row or 3 sons in a row. But it's not that big of a deal.

Maybe she meant it was too bad that these daughters were born into a world of sexism, whereas having a son would have prevented that.

This happens all the time in my family!

"Give the boys food first! before all the girls get to it!"

"come one girls, do the cleaning up!..." While the men sit around with their bellies flopped out on the couch.

"Your a girl!! If you get pregnant our reputation will be ruined!"

ummm? If i get pregnant, the LAST thing id worry about is your reputation! lol.

Gee, we've come such a long way from ideologies of female infanticide!

(sarcasm)

O.O

i can't imagine the horror!
