I'm Now A Atheist And Love It.

Hello Everyone,

I have just found the right religion for me after many years of seaching NONE.

How I got her. I am 29 years old and live in Newcastle Australia. I was raised a Catholic and belived it until age 12 when I learned the history of that church and decided I no longer wanted to be a part of it.

Next my good friend who was like a sister to me is a Wiccan. Tried that but it wasnt me did not make sence to me.

at age 24 my girlfriend belonged to a "happy clapper" new style Christain church, all they wanted me to do was hand over money it was run more like a business no good.

Next girlfriend was a 7th day Adventist, they were all about no alcohol, no meat from "unclean" animals, so work on Saturday blah blah so many damn rules and again wanting ya money.

Now im single and no one pushing god on me and its great, threw out all god related things and living life as i see fit this is the life for me, no more rel

It sure is nice to be free from religion. It's been nearly a year, about 10 months, since I lost my faith as a Christian and since then, I have learned more about Christianity that I never knew before and even gotten a better understanding of what atheism was. <br />

For a long time after I lost my religion, I considered myself Agnostic, instead of Atheist, because somehow I still had a flawed definition of what Atheism was exactly. I think maybe it's possible that this false definition was left over after I got religion out of my life. That definition was the belief that Atheists were people who knew with 100% certainty that there were no gods, instead of what atheists really are, just people who don't believe in gods because there is no evidence to support the existence of gods. After realizing what atheism really was all about, it made me realize that I am an Atheist.
